Had this lying around my hard drive and totally forgot it was there! In light of gyzym posting her Big Epistolary Sterek Fic (Crash Landers, go read it on her ao3, I love it SO much), I figured I’d clean up this project and send it out into the world. Since this recording, I have relocated to a much less private and quiet location, and am now lacking my brother’s boss microphone, but hopefully I’ll get back in the podfic saddle soon because there are SO MANY THINGS I want to record (including Crash Landers).
All comments and criticism are welcome and appreciated as always!! Especially if you have technical tricks to show me, or ways to put music on podfics, or whatever.

So THIS is my first fic recorded with my brother’s boss microphone. I’m a little in love with the idea of demon!Stiles, though this fic puts a really interesting twist on it.

This is actually the second podfic I’ve recorded with my brothers boss-ass microphone, but I failed to notice some file weirdness with the first one, so I’m waiting for that one to get fixed before I post it (in a couple minutes).
This, however, was one of the first Teen Wolf fanfictions I read, and probably the first where I screamed “YES. THIS. THIS IS WHO THEY ARE, YES.” I do hope I did it justice <3 ((Dylan O’Brien refuses to inhabit my vocal cords no matter what I try))
Still a giant newbie at all of this, so any constructive criticism is welcome and asked for (sound quality, voices, editing techniques, anything), as well as just suggestions on how to improve the all-over experience (I’ve seen adding music is generally a thing??)
I’ve got another one coming as soon as the file exports and gets onto mediafire.

I finished my first official podfic! Can’t upload it to AO3 because I can’t get an account on there. But I will be emailing it to jinjurly’s archive shortly.
I recorded it with my crappy webcam mic and I’m a complete newb with Audacity, so sorry about any quality weirdness there. My brother just bought an earphone/mic combo for his XBOX-live-ing, so I may just have to borrow that next time, we shall see.
Constructive criticism, pointers, suggestions, etc., all welcome and asked for.
We watched the pilot last night and played a drinking game. I noticed that the “official” drinking game had a couple elements that really only came to light later on in the show, so I tweaked it and combined some others to make a more “Early Season 1 Friendly Version.” More will probably be added later on.
Here’s what I came up with:
TAKE A SIP IF:
- Scott says “Allison”
- Shirtlessness occurs (one sip per shirtless individual)
- Take 2 if if it’s Scott and there’s water involved
- Take 3 if it’s Jackson and there’s Derek involved
- Derek is cryptic
- Derek threatens some one
- Derek is a creeper / has an Edward Cullen moment
- The word “lacrosse” is spoken
- They’re playing lacrosse onscreen, or even if there’s any lacrosse paraphernalia in the scene—sticks, helmets, uniforms, etc. (Caution: you only really need to take one drink per scene if either occurs, we’re not actually trying to kill you here)
- Eyes flash a nonhuman color (gold, red, whatever)
- Stiles trips/falls/flails over
- Derek wallslams someone
- Stiles chews on something
Take a shot if (we used beer shots)
- Lydia is a science bamf (or shows herself to be really good at something)
- Stiles’s bisexuality
- Scott cares about something other than Allison or lacrosse
- The vet is mysterious or a bamf
Chug if
- Derek’s life stops sucking
So I just saw that Teen Wolf novel On Fire at Barnes & Noble today
I may have almost bought it but it was 11 bucks and I have a really hard time paying more than 10 bucks for like, any book.
Anyone who’s read it: Is it worth the buy?
Btw here are the things that I know about Teen Wolf without having watched anything:
- There is someone called Scott who is an idiot and a horrible person?
- This show is not well written and I should not have high expectations for it
- There are guys called Derek and Stiles and they are obviously having offscreen gay sex
- ….Werewolves.
So basically this is me just typing and commenting as I watch. I’ll sum up my thoughts at the end.
