things i want in stiles/derek fic right now (a mix of headcanons and just things i want):
- derek is not good at people feelings, nor is he all that sexually experienced
- and it’s actually kind of super awkward the first time, coupled with derek maybe having a mini inward freakout because i can see this being the first time he’s had sex with someone who mattered to him since kate (i can see him having 1 or 2 experiences in NY that’s more proving to himself that he can be with someone than anything else)
- slow burn
- they’re not really all that verbal about their feelings, nor typically…traditionally physically affectionate? idk
- stiles has a panic attack (perhaps before they actually get together) around derek and derek tries to help him through it and is either kinda bad at it or surprisingly good at it (if he’s good at it, maybe laura was prone to them after the fire or something?)
- slow burn
- something with pack dynamics. stiles being all parental and derek trying to be a good alpha and maybe sometimes succeeding
- acknowledging Stiles’s lifelong crush on Lydia, and their relationship developing into being bros (mainly by them both learning to see each other as people)
