who uses all the hot water: Stiles usually. Derek by himself takes like, 4 minute showers.
most trivial thing they fight over: What movie to watch (Derek hates stoner comedies. Stiles loves them)
who does most of the cleaning: Derek automatically keeps things pretty neat. Stiles will get messy and then will have bouts of mania where he just CLEANS ALL THE THINGS.
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: Stiles. Derek…tries, bless him.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Stiles will complain until Derek does it. They live in southern California so it’s never too bad out, but Stiles hates being cold. Also Derek is intimidating enough that the landlord actually gets shit done within a reasonable amount of time.
who steals the blankets: Stiles, always. Derek doesn’t normally move much in his sleep. Stiles is a flailer and a roller though. If he’s fed up, Derek will just pull Stiles on top of him and keep him there.
who leaves their stuff around: Stiles.
who remembers to buy the milk: Stiles again. Stiles does most of the grocery shopping because Derek is needlessly and ridiculously utilitarian and will spend the least amount of money as possible.
who remembers anniversaries: They both do, but they don’t make a big deal out of them.
who cooks normally?: Stiles. Derek does eat relatively healthy in the sense that he doesn’t, like, gorge on twinkies (he’s gotta keep that physique somehow). But he’s still good with like, a hot pocket or a sandwich for dinner, or worse, one of those reheatables from the gas station, and Stiles is NOT OK WITH THAT. He keeps his werewolf well-fed and healthy.
how often do they fight?: Not too often. They’ll bicker and bitch at each other but it rarely means anything. Occasionally they’ll fight about something serious though.
what do they do when they’re away from each other?: Stiles sends a series of annoying/hilarious texts/picture mails throughout the day. Derek will occasionally call “just to check in.” If Derek’s the one going away for whatever reason, Stiles eventually starts slipping a shirt of his in Derek’s bag, because he knows that having something with Stiles’s scent on it makes being away a little easier.
nicknames for each other?: “Sour wolf” is a popular one still.
who is more likely to pay for dinner?: They trade off.
what would they get each other for gifts?: Stiles usually gets Derek something funny (though this one time he got him a collar and…the results were more awesome than hilarious). Derek’s more likely to get him things he needs.
who kissed who first?: Stiles got fed up one day.
who made the first move?: Derek, without realizing it. Little cues and touches that Stiles eventually recognized for what they were. At which point Stiles got fed up with this nonsense and attacked Derek with his mouth.
who remembers things?: Derek remembers important things. Stiles remembers little specific things but not, like, the date
who started the relationship?: Stiles. Derek was a little hesitant to start anything (trust issues hi) and Stiles eased him into it.
who cusses more?: Derek curses when he’s angry or frustrated. Stiles curses in regular conversation.
what would they do if the other one was hurt?: Derek will end the motherfucker who hurt Stiles. Taking care of him, Derek is surprisingly tender and well meaning, even if he doesn’t know what to do all the time. The fact that Stiles is human and therefore doesn’t heal right away is kind of terrifying for him. As for when Derek’s hurt, Stiles a bit more spastic about it and tends to freak out if it’s serious enough. He’ll get them out of the dangerous situation in the best way they can, and do what Derek tells him to to the best of his ability. Once, it was really bad, and after Derek was already resting, the stress got to him and Stiles had to hole up in the bathroom to have the quietest panic attack of his life.
